Description
Zigmund Palffy New York Islanders Vic Game Used Stick
Lot #558
This Vic 6050 hockey stick was game used by All Star Ziggy Palffy while playing for the New York Islanders. Palffy was drafted in the 1st round of the 1991 NHL Entry Draft by the New York Islanders. After playing briefly in 1993-94, Ziggy was up with the Isles to stay during the 1994-95 season. Palffy was an All Star player stuck on a non-playoff team through his entire 6-year tenure on Long Island. Beginning in 1995-96, Ziggy put up goal totals of 43, 48 and 45 to lead the Islanders and rank among the elite in the league. An injury the following season limited Ziggy to 50 games and cut short his string of consecutive 40-goal seasons. The following year, Palffy was dealt to Los Angeles where he spent 5 of his final 6 NHL seasons. Palffy registered six 30-goal seasons, 329 goals and 713 points in a 684 games played. Ziggy partook in 4 NHL All Star games during his all too brief career.

This Vic hockey stick has the player name “Palffy” stamped on the side. The stick is fully taped on the butt and blade. It is uncracked and in beautiful condition.
