Zdeno Chara Boston Bruins Black Warrior Game Worn Gloves Autographed
Lot #412

These black hockey gloves by Warrior were game worn by Norris Trophy winner Zdeno Chara while playing for the Boston Bruins. The New York Islanders selected Chara in the 3rd round of the 1996 NHL Entry Draft. This towering 6’ 9” Slovakian defenseman began his NHL career with the Islanders in 1997-98. After 4 years in New York and 4 more with Ottawa, Chara found a home in Boston where he has spent the past 13 seasons. During that time Chara became Captain of the Bruins, hoisted the Stanley Cup and won the Norris Trophy as the NHL’s best defenseman. Chara has played in 6 NHL All Star games, was 7 times a 1st or 2nd Team NHL All Star selection and has been a 6-time finalist for the Norris Trophy. On the international stage, Zdeno has competed in numerous World Championships, the 2004 World Cup of Hockey and 3 Olympics.

These black Warrior gloves have the player name “Chara” stitched on the cuff. The player number “33” is stitched to the thumb. Zdeno has autographed both gloves on the wrist in silver sharpie.
