Description
Wayne Stephenson Washington Capitals Victoriaville Game Used Stick
Lot #413
This Victoriaville Pro Vic 1000 goalie stick was game used by Wayne Stephenson while playing for the Washington Capitals. Stephenson began his NHL career with the St. Louis Blues, playing in 2 games in 1971-72. He spent the following 2 years in St. Louis, playing in 45 and 40 games respectively during the 1972-73 and 1973-74 seasons. In 1974-75, Stephenson joined the Philadelphia Flyers and won the Stanley Cup backing up Hall of Famer Bernie Parent. When Parent was injured early in the 1975-76 season, Stephenson took over the starting reigns and played in 66 games. He then led the 2-time defending Stanley Cup Champs back to the Stanley Cup Finals where they fell at the hands of the Montreal Canadiens dynasty. Stephenson would spend 5 years in Philadelphia and then completed his career with the Washington Capitals.

This Victoriaville goalie stick has the player name “Stephenson” stamped on the side. The stick is fully taped on the butt and blade. The stick has some slight cracking at the bottom of the blade otherwise it is in very nice condition.
