This black hockey helmet by Bauer was game worn by Wayne Simmonds while playing for the Los Angeles Kings. The LA Kings selected Simmonds in the 2nd round of the 2007 NHL Entry Draft. This Scarborough native made his NHL debut in 2008-09 with the Kings where he played for three seasons. In 2011, Simmonds was dealt to the Philadelphia Flyers in the deal that sent Mike Richards to LA. Simmonds spent 8 seasons wearing a Flyers uniform before finishing up his career with stops in Nashville, New Jersey and Buffalo. Simmonds was twice a 30-goal scorer who played in the 2017 NHL All Star Game.
This black Bauer helmet has the player number “17” on back. The team name “King’s” is on both sides. On the back left is the “Ace Mark” sticker in commemoration of Ace Bailey and Mark Bavis. Across from that is the NHL shield. Wayne has autographed the top.
