This blue hockey helmet by CCM was game worn by Wayne Merrick while playing for the New York Islanders. Merrick was drafted by the St. Louis Blues in the 1st round of the 1972 NHL Entry Draft. He began his career with the Blues in 1972-73 and spent parts of 4 seasons with the club that drafted him. After a partial season with the Seals and 1+ seasons with the Barons, Merrick joined the New York Islanders during the 1977-78 season. Wayne would spend 6 more seasons on Long Island, accumulating 4 Stanley Cups as a member of the Islanders Dynasty.
This blue CCM helmet has the player number “11” on the back. The Islanders logo is on both sides while the visor still resides on the front. Wayne has autographed the side “Stanley Cup Champs 80-83”
