Description
Wayne Cashman Boston Bruins Sher-Wood Game Issued Stick
Lot #270

This Sher-Wood PMP 5030 hockey stick was issued for use by Wayne Cashman while playing for the Boston Bruins. Cashman spent all of his 17 NHL seasons with the Boston Bruins, never donning the sweater of any rival club. Wayne was the heart and soul of the Big Bad Bruins, winning 2 Stanley Cups and playing in the Finals in three other seasons during their glory years in the 1970’s. Cash was a 2nd team NHL All Star in 1974 and made an appearance in the NHL All Star game that season as well. He also represented Team Canada in the historic 1972 Summitt Series where Canada defeated the Soviets in dramatic fashion.

To his credit are better than 1000 regular season games played while wearing the black and gold. During that span he racked up in excess of 1000 PIMS while netting 277 goals. Looking at Cashman’s plus/minus totals can leave you in awe, with his best 5 years coming in at +59, +49, +42, +34 and +30. During playoff time Cash ramped things up, scoring 31 goals and 88 points while accumulating 250 PIMS in 145 games played. Any Bruins fight tape from the glory years is undoubtedly filled with highlights of Cashman wailing on some poor opponent. When Cash retired following the 1982-83 season, he was the last remaining player from the Original 6.

This Sher-Wood stick has the player name and number “Cashman 12” stamped on the side. The stick is un-taped and shows no use. It is uncracked and is in beautiful condition.
