Description
WHA Cleveland Crusaders Logo Banner Hung in the Rafters of the Cleveland Arena
Lot #570

This beautiful, 5 ½’ x 4 ½’, Cleveland Crusaders logo banner hung from the rafters when the Crusaders were playing in the Cleveland Arena from 1972-74 and, based on wear, certainly might also have hung in the Richfield Coliseum from 1974-76. The Crusaders were an original WHA franchise that played four seasons in the WHA, eventually relocating to St. Paul, MN and becoming the second incarnation of the Minnesota Fighting Saints.

Some of the players who played for the Crusaders are Gerry Cheevers, Jacques Caron, Bob Dillabough, Larry Hillman, Wayne Hillman, Gary Jarrett, Rich Leduc, Al McDonough and Paul Shmyr. A beautiful item now over 40 years removed from the rafters.
