GAMEWORNAUCTIONS.NET is pleased to present The John Shipman Collection. This exciting collection of game worn jerseys, game used sticks, game worn equipment and memorabilia come directly from the personal collection of John Shipman. Mr. Shipman personally collected and preserved these items over the course of his tenure as the Montreal Canadiens assistant trainer from 1988-97. A signed letter from Mr. Shipman will accompany your purchase.

This Sher-Wood PMP 5030 hockey stick was game used by Vincent Damphouse while playing for Team Canada during the 1996 World Cup of Hockey. The Toronto Maple Leafs selected Damphousse with the 6th overall pick in the 1986 NHL Entry Draft. This Montreal native began an 18-year NHL career in 1986-87 with the Maple Leafs, where he played for five years. Vinny next spent a year with the Edmonton Oilers before joining the Montreal Canadiens in 1992-93. During his first of 7 seasons in Montreal, Damphousse won the only Stanley Cup of his career. His last stop was with San Jose, where he played for 6 seasons. After 1378 games played, Damphousse had lit the lamp 432 times and added 773 assists for a total of 1205 points. Damphousse, a 40-goal scorer, was a member of Team Canada’s 1996 World Cup squad and played in three NHL All Star Games.

This Sher-Wood stick has the player name and number “Damphousse 25” stamped on the side. The stick is fully taped on the butt. The blade tape has been removed so it could be autographed. One side of the stick was sanded down to make room for autographs. Autographs include Wayne Gretzky, Scott Stevens, Theo Fleury, Mark Messier, Curtis Joseph, Trevor Linden, Paul Coffey, Vincent Damphousse, Scott Niedermayer, Brendan Shanahan, Steve Yzerman, Claude Lemieux, Sylvain Cote, Bill Ranford, Lyle Odelein, Eric Desjardins, Adam Graves, Adam Foote, Eric Lindros, Joe Sakic and Pat Verbeek. The stick and the autographs are in very nice condition and comes directly from the personal collection of former Montreal Canadiens assistant trainer John Shipman and is accompanied by his signed LOA.
