This Victoriaville Ultra Vic 4050 hockey stick was game used by Viacheslav Fetisov while playing for the New Jersey Devils. The New Jersey Devils selected Fetisov in the 8th round of the 1983 NHL Entry Draft. Slava spent the first 15 years of his Hall of Fame career playing in the Soviet Union for the Central Red Army and Soviet National Team. During that time he established himself as the greatest defenseman in the history of Russian hockey, earning numerous accolades and becoming Team Captain. Fetisov competed in numerous World Championships, four Super Series, Rendezvous ’87, two Canada Cups, the World Cup of Hockey and three Olympics including the 1980 Miracle On Ice Games at Lake Placid. He spent 9 seasons in the NHL, splitting his time between the New Jersey Devils and Detroit Red Wings, playing in a pair of NHL All Star Games during his tenure. In his three plus seasons with the Red Wings, Fetisov spearheaded the “Russian 5” and his leadership helped guide the team to 3 Stanley Cup Finals. He won back-to-back Stanley Cup titles in 1997 and 1998 and retired after hoisting the Cup in the spring of 1998. Fetisov was deservingly enshrined to the Hockey Hall of Fame with the class of 2001.

This Victoriaville stick has the player name “Fetisov” stamped on the side. The stick is fully taped on the butt and blade. Slava has autographed the side.
