This white hockey helmet by Bauer was game worn by Valeri Kamensky while playing for the New York Rangers. Kamensky spent the first 9 years of his professional career playing in his native Russia. During that time Valeri was twice named USSR 1st Team All Star and was named the USSR Player of the Year in 1991. Before joining the NHL, Valeri partook in 3 Super Series, Rendezvous ’87, the 1987 Canada Cup and the 1988 Olympics. Kamensky joined the Quebec Nordiques and played in 23 games for them in 1991-92 after suffering a severe ankle injury. The following season saw Kamensky play in 32 games after regaining his health. Kamensky spent 4 years with the Nordiques and transferred with the franchise to Colorado where he won his first and only Stanley Cup that spring. After spending 4 years with the Avalanche, Kamensky joined the Rangers for 2 years and then the Stars and Devils during what would be his final NHL season. This adept Left Wing set career highs during the Cup winning season with 38 goals and 85 points. In 1998, Valeri was honored with a spot in the NHL All Star game.
