This black “wool” jersey was manufactured by Reebok. Tony-O is considered among the all-time greats and his stellar statistics do nothing to disprove it. He ranks #7 in all-time Wins with 423 and is 9th on the all-time shutouts list with 76. Tony was 5-times a 1st or 2nd team NHL All Star and played in 6 NHL All Star games. He was the overwhelming selection in balloting done by the fans for the 1979 Challenge Cup, a best of 3 series against the Russians that took the place of the traditional All Star game. Espo represented Team Canada in the ‘72 Summit Series playing in 4 of the 8 games and also represented Team USA in the 1981 Canada Cup.

He was the winner of the Calder Memorial Trophy in 1970, which is awarded to the leagues top rookie. He was a 3-time winner of the Vezina Trophy awarded to the NHL’s best goaltender, having won this prestigious award in 1970, 1972 and 1974. Tony won his only Stanley Cup as a member of the Montreal Canadiens in his first ever campaign of 1968-69. Beginning with the 1969-70 season and continuing for the next 15 seasons, Tony represented the Chicago Black Hawks where he finished his stellar Hall of Fame career. His stellar play led the Black Hawks to 2 Stanley Cup Finals in the early 1970’s. He is recognized as one of the greatest and most popular sports figures to ever play in the Windy City and one of the finest to ever stand between the pipes in the history of the sport.
