This yellow, black & white hockey blocker by Heaton was game worn by Stanley Cup winner Tim Thomas while playing for the Providence Bruins. The Quebec Nordiques selected Thomas in the 9th round of the 1994 NHL Entry Draft. After spending 4 years between the pipes for the University of Vermont, this Flint, MI native embarked on a career that spanned 9 NHL seasons, all but one of them with the Boston Bruins. During that time Thomas represented the Bruins in 2 NHL All Star games, won the 2008-09 and 2010-11 Vezina Trophies, the 2008-09 Jennings Trophy, the 2011 Conn Smythe Trophy and walked away with a 1st Team NHL All Star selection in 2008-09. On the international stage Thomas represented Team USA in numerous World Championships as well as the 2010 Olympics where he won a Silver Medal. His crowning achievement was leading the Bruins to the 2011 Stanley Cup, winning the Conn Smythe Trophy as playoff MVP in the process.
