These blue Koho hockey gloves were game worn by Hall of Famer Teemu Selanne while playing for the Anaheim Ducks circa 1999. The Winnipeg Jets selected Selanne with the 10th overall pick in the 1988 NHL Entry Draft. Teemu literally burst onto the NHL scene, shattering all rookie records in his wake as he netted an incomprehensible 76 goals and 132 points as a rookie. In a career that spanned an amazing 21 seasons, “The Finnish Flash” played until the age of 43! Selanne compiled staggering career numbers with 684 goals, 773 assists and 1457 points. On his mantel are the 1992-93 Calder Trophy as Rookie of the Year, the 1998-99 Maurice “Rocket” Richard Trophy as the NHL’s top goal scorer, the 2005-06 Bill Masterton Trophy for his qualities of perseverance, sportsmanship and dedication to hockey and of course the 2007 Stanley Cup. Teemu is a 4-time 1st or 2nd Team NHL All Star who played in 10 NHL All Star games. On the international stage, this native of Finland has represented his country in the World Championships, a Canada Cup, 2 World Cups and 5 Olympics! Selanne holds numerous individual and franchise records including being the all-time Olympic record holder for points in a career with 43. Selanne was elected to the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2017.
