This Koho Revolution hockey stick was game used by defenseman Steve Chiasson while playing for the Carolina Hurricanes in 1998-99. This Barrie, Ontario native made his NHL debut with the Red Wings in 1986-87. Steve called Detroit home for the first 8 years of his 13-year NHL career. After leaving the Wings, Steve went on to play for Calgary, Hartford and finally Carolina, where on the night he was eliminated from the playoffs in his 2nd season with the club, he was tragically killed in an automobile accident on his way home from a team party. Chiasson played in 751 games and scored an impressive 398 points while amassing 1107 PIMS and earning an appearance in the NHL All Star game.

This Koho Revolution hockey stick is fully taped on the butt and blade.  The player name "Chiasson" is stamped on the side.  The stick has been team signed by 16 members and staff of the Hurricanes.  Signatures include:  Steve Chiasson (d. 1999), Sami Kapanen, Nelson Emerson, Sean Hill, Gary Roberts, Bates Battaglia, Curtis Leschyshyn, Arturs Irbe, Jeff O'neill, Paul Ranheim, Nolan Pratt, Trevor Kidd and Kevin Dineen.
