This pair of red and black Easton hockey gloves were worn by defenseman Scott Niedermayer while playing for the New Jersey Devils.
Scott was drafted in the 1st round (3rd overall) in the 1991 NHL entry draft by the New Jersey Devils. Scott played 12 years in New Jersey, being a part of all three of their Stanley Cup championships. Besides the three Stanley Cups with the Devils, Scott was twice a first or second team All Star and played in 3 NHL All Star games. In 2003-04 Scott won the Norris trophy as the best defenseman of the year.
After 12 very successful years in New Jersey, Scott signed as a free agent with the Anaheim Ducks. His first year in Anaheim saw Scott record his most points in a season with 63 and helped carry the Ducks to the Western Conference finals where they were eliminated by the Edmonton Oilers.
Scott's second year in Anaheim was even more special. With the addition of Chris Pronger, the Ducks defense was now second to none. Scott led the Ducks to their 1st Stanley Cup championship winning the Conn Smythe trophy as playoff MVP as well as again being named a first team All Star. With all these accomplishments in tow, a strong case will be made, upon Scott's retirement, for the Hockey Hall of Fame.
These red and black Easton gloves carry the Devils colors. The player name "Niedermayer" in printed on the cuff. Beautiful pair of gloves from this 4 time Stanley Cup champion and future Hall of Famer. These gloves will be accompanied by a Devils team letter.
