Sandis Ozolinsh Colorado Avalanche CCM Game Worn Helmet

This white hockey helmet by CCM was game worn by Sandis Ozolinsh while playing for the Colorado Avalanche. The San Jose Sharks selected Ozolinsh in the 2nd round of the 1991 NHL Entry Draft. This Latvian native began his NHL career with San Jose in 1992. Early during this dynamic defenseman’s 4th season, he was dealt to the Colorado Avalanche and went on to win the Stanley Cup later that spring. Ozolinsh would spend 5 years in Colorado, before heading to Carolina, Florida, Anaheim, New York and finally San Jose. Since leaving the NHL, Sandis has spent the past several seasons playing in Russia’s KHL. In 15-years and 875 games of NHL service, Ozolinsh tallied 564 points from his position on the point. This 7-time NHL All Star earned a 1st Team NHL All Star selection in 1997. On the international stage Ozolinsh appeared in the World Championships and a couple of Olympics.
