Ross Lonsberry Philadelphia Flyers Sher-Wood Game Used Stick

This Sher-Wood hockey stick was game used by Ross Lonsberry while playing for the Philadelphia Flyers. Lonsberry was a 14-year NHL veteran who broke in with the Boston Bruins in 1967. He next joined the LA Kings where he spent 3 seasons before moving onto the Philadelphia Flyers. It was in Philadelphia where Ross’ career would flourish. He joined the Broad Street Bullies midway thru the 1971-72 season and spent the next 7 years in the City of Brotherly Love. During that time the Flyers went to 3 straight Stanley Cup Finals, winning back-to-back titles in 1974 and 1975. During the Flyers 1st Cup year, Lonsberry notched the only 30-goal season of his career, a career which saw him tab better than 250 goals. Ross finished his career across the state of Pennsylvania, spending 3 seasons with the Pittsburgh Penguins and retiring following the 1980-81 campaign. Ross died of cancer in 2014 at the age of 67.

This Sher-Wood stick has the player name “Lonsberry” stamped on the side. The player number “18” is written in black marker below the name. The stick is fully taped on the butt and blade. It is uncracked and in beautiful condition.
