Ross Lonsberry Philadelphia Flyers Goal Puck Philadelphia Flyers Puck Stanley Cup Season
Lot #403
This Philadelpia Flyers logo puck was used to score a goal by Ross Lonsberry on January 31, 1974, while the Flyers where on their way to their first Stanley Cup Championship.. Lonsberry was a 14-year NHL veteran who broke in with the Boston Bruins in 1967. He next joined the LA Kings where he spent 3 seasons before moving onto the Philadelphia Flyers. It was in Philadelphia where Ross’ career would flourish. He joined the Broad Street Bullies midway thru the 1971-72 season and spent the next 7 years in the City of Brotherly Love. During that time the Flyers went to 3 straight Stanley Cup Finals, winning back-to-back titles in 1974 and 1975. During the Flyers 1st Cup year, Lonsberry notched the only 30-goal season of his career, a career which saw him tab better than 250 goals. Ross finished his career across the state of Pennsylvania, spending 3 seasons with the Pittsburgh Penguins and retiring following the 1980-81 campaign.

These goal pucks were only labeled for 2 seasons in the early 1970’s. The puck does have a small amount of the wording missing at the bottom.
