These red, white & blue hockey pads by Eagle were game worn by Ron Tugnutt while playing for the Columbus Blue Jackets. The Quebec Nordiques selected Tugnutt in the 4th round of the 1986 NHL Entry Draft. This goalie began his NHL career in 1987-88 and spent 16-seasons between the pipes in the NHL. During that time he played for Quebec, Edmonton, Anaheim, Montreal, Ottawa, Pittsburgh, Columbus and Dallas before retiring following the 2003-04 season. Tugnutt was an NHL All Star in 1999 as he led the league with a spectacular 1.79 GAA. He is also fondly remembered for stopping 70 of 73 shots on goal in a game against Boston in the spring of 1991.
These red, white & blue Eagle pads have the player name “Tugnutt” stitched to the side. The pads show solid game use.
