These black hockey gloves by CCM were game worn by Hall of Famer Rob Blake while playing for the Colorado Avalanche. The Los Angeles Kings selected Blake in the 4th round of the 1988 NHL Entry Draft. In an NHL career that spanned 20 seasons, Blake spent 14 of those as a member of the Kings. After playing his award laden college hockey at Bowling Green State University, Blake began his initial 12-year run in LA in 1989-90, playing in 4 games. He soon after became one of the league’s best defenseman and was awarded the Norris Trophy in honor of such for his play in 1997-98. During Rob’s time with the Colorado Avalanche he won his 1st and only Stanley Cup championship in 2001. His 240 career goals and 777 points are impressive as are his 1679 PIMS. Blake partook in 7 NHL All Star Games and was 4 times a 1st or 2nd Team NHL All Star. On the international stage, Blake represented Team Canada in the World Championships, the inaugural 1996 World Cup of Hockey and in 3 different Olympics! In fact, Blake earned the honor of best defenseman at the 1998 Olympics as well as the 1997 World Championships. Blake was recently selected to the Hockey Hall of Fame.
