Reed Larson Detroit Red Wings White Canadien Game Used Stick
Lot #487

This white Canadien 6001 hockey stick was game used by Reed Larson while playing for the Detroit Red Wings. Larson was drafted by the Detroit Red Wings in the 1976 NHL Entry Draft. Larson would spend 3 years under the tutelage of coach Herb Brooks at the University of Minnesota before joining the Red Wings in 1976-77. In his first full NHL season he was runner up to Mike Bossy for rookie of the year honors. After 10 season in Hockey Town, Larson played for the Bruins, Oilers, Islanders, North Stars and Sabres. Larson, who is a member of the United States Hockey Hall of Fame, became the first US born defenseman to score 200 career goals. Known for his booming slapshot, Larson tabbed 11 consecutive double-digit goal seasons. In 904 games Reed scored 222 goals and 685 points while earning 3 trips to the NHL All Star game.

This white Canadien stick has the player name “Larson” stamped on the side. The stick is fully taped on the butt and blade. The stick is date stamped “19 AOUT 1981”. There might be extra blade tape towards the heel to cover a slight blade crack, otherwise the stick is in beautiful condition.
