Peter Zezel Washington Capitals Black Sher-Wood Game Used Stick
Lot #474
This black Sher-Wood PMP 7030 hockey stick was game used by Peter Zezel while playing for The Washington Capitals. Zezel was drafted by the Philadelphia Flyers in the 1983 NHL Entry Draft. Peter joined the Flyers in 1984-85 at the age of 19 and finished 5th in rookie scoring while setting a Flyers rookie record for assists. Zezel and his Flyers went all the way to the Stanley Cup Finals that season, losing at the hands of Gretzky and the Oilers. Zezel played with the Flyers into the 1988-89 season, going to the Finals again in 1986-87, only to lose in 7 games to the Oilers once more. After a season and a half in St. Louis, Zezel played for the Capitals, Maple Leafs, Stars, Blues again, Devils and Canucks. Unfortunately, Peter passed away in 2009 at the age of 44 from a rare blood disorder.

This black Sher-Wood stick has the player name “Zezel” stamped on the side. The stick is fully taped on the butt and blade. It is uncracked and in beautiful condition.
