Description
Peter McNab Boston Bruins Koho Game Issued Stick
Lot #311
This Koho hockey stick was issued for use by Peter McNab while playing for the Boston Bruins. The Buffalo Sabres selected McNab in the 6th round of the 1972 NHL Amateur Draft. He began his NHL career at the Aud in 1973-74, skated with the Sabres for 3 seasons and was part of the team’s run to the Cup Finals in 1975. Peter joined the Boston Bruins in 1976-77 and became one of Don Cherry’s leading scorers over the next handful of years. All told he would spend 8 years wearing the black and gold before joining the Canucks late in 1983-84. After a full year in Vancouver, Peter joined the New Jersey Devils where he spent the final 2 years of his career.

McNab was an NHL All Star who scored 35+ goals in each of his first 6 seasons with the Bruins and twice netted 40+ goals despite Don Cherry’s 4-line philosophy. In 954 career NHL games, McNab lit the lamp 363 times and added 450 assists for a total of 813 points. Peter played in the Cup Finals in each of his first two years in Boston and lost in the Semi’s the following season all at the hands of the late 1970’s dynasty Montreal Canadiens.

This Koho stick has the player name “McNab” stamped on the side. It is date stamped “OCT 14, 1981”. The stick is un-taped and shows no use. It is uncracked and in beautiful condition.
