Lot #671
This red jersey was manufactured by CCM. Demitra was drafted by the Ottawa Senators in the 1993 NHL Entry Draft. He played parts of 3 seasons with the Senators before a trade in November of 1996 brought him to St. Louis. Pavol played briefly for the Blues IHL affiliate, the Grand Rapids Griffins, before joining the Blues in 1996-97 season. Demitra played 8 seasons with the Blues scoring 20+ goals each season with 3 of them being 30+ goal seasons. After the 2004 strike season, Pavol played 1 season with the Kings, 2 with the Wild and a final 2 seasons with the Canucks. He was still a consistent NHL scorer up to his final year in Vancouver. Demitra ended his career with over 300 goals and over 750 points. Pavol played in 3 NHL All Star games and was the Lady Byng Memorial Trophy winner in 2000. He was an All Star selection in the 2010 Olympics (the only non-North American selection) while leading the entire tournament in scoring with 10 points.

After the NHL, Pavol went to Russia to play in the KHL. Pavol tragically lost his life on September 7th 2011 in a plane crash that killed 43 people including all of Yaroslavl Lokomotiv’s players and coaching staff.

This red AHL All Star jersey, size 56, has the player name “Demitra” on the back. The player number “38” is on both sleeves and the back. Pavol has signed the back player number “8” as well as the jersey inside the number “3”
