Lot #643
This brown checked Easton Ultra Lite Graphite hockey stick was game used by Hall of Famer Paul Kariya while playing for the Anaheim Mighty Ducks. The Anaheim Mighty Ducks selected Kariya with the 4th overall pick in the 1993 NHL Entry Draft. Kariya spent two seasons with the University of Maine where he won the Hobey Baker Award in 1992-93. Following time with the Canadian National team, Kariya would become the face of the franchise after beginning his NHL career in 1994-95. Paul spent 9 seasons with the Mighty Ducks where he served as their Team Captain for most of those 9 seasons. Kariya went on to play for the Avalanche, Predators and Blues before retiring in 2011 after 15 NHL seasons. His dynamic career was plagued by injury, stunting his career totals. Nevertheless, Kariya scored 402 goals and added 587 assists for 989 points on 989 games played. Kariya is a 50-goal and 100-point club member who played in 7 NHL All Star Games. He also earned (4) 1st Team and a pair of 2nd Team NHL All Star selections. This 2-time Olympian was a 2-time winner of the Lady Byng Memorial Trophy. The Hockey Hall of Fame recognized Kariya’s career with an induction in the class of 2017.

This brown Easton stick is fully taped on the butt. The blade tape has been removed so Paul could autograph it. The stick is uncracked and in beautiful condition.
