Description
Pat Quinn Canucks/Flames Sher-Wood Game Used Stick Autographed Deceased
Lot #496
This Sher-Wood Pattern Pro hockey stick was game used by Pat Quinn while playing with either the Vancouver Canucks or Atlanta Flames. Quinn was a solid NHL defenseman who played 9 seasons with the Maple Leafs, Canucks and Flames. After his playing days were over, Quinn turned to coaching. He coached for 20 seasons, representing the Flyers, Kings, Canucks, Maple Leafs and Oilers. He made 2 unsuccessful trips to the Stanley Cup Finals, one with the Flyers in 1980 and the other with the Canucks in 1994. In Quinn’s first full season with the Flyers, he led the team to a record breaking 35-game unbeaten streak, a streak that still stands today. Quinn won the Jack Adams Award as NHL coach of the year in 1980 and 1992 and won a Gold Medal as coach of Team Canada in the 2002 Olympics, Canada’s first Gold Medal since 1952. Quinn died in 2014 after a long illness at the age of 71.

This Sher-Wood hockey stick has the player name “Quinn” stamped on the side. The stick is fully taped on the butt and blade. Pat has autographed the heel. The stick is uncracked and, other than a small nail hole in the butt, is in beautiful condition.
