Description
Mike Gartner Toronto Maple Leafs White Victoriaville Game Used Stick
Lot #419
This white Victoriaville Quad 5000 hockey stick was game used by 700-goal Hall of Famer Mike Gartner while playing for the Toronto Maple Leafs. Gartner, who was the 4th overall selection in the 1979 NHL Entry draft, spent the first 10 years of his career with the Washington Capitals and is considered the greatest Capital to ever wear the team colors. During his 19-year NHL career Mike racked up incredible numbers while representing the Caps, North Stars, Rangers, Leafs and Coyotes. His Hall of Fame numbers are simply staggering with in excess of 700 career goals and 1300 career points to his credit. He is one of a handful of players ever to eclipse 700 career goals, standing among the likes of Wayne Gretzky, Gordie Howe, Marcel Dionne, Phil Esposito and Brett Hull. Mike was consistently good over a very long period of time, which is rather uncommon in the modern era of this grueling sport. He amassed 15 different 30-goal seasons with 8 of them being 40 or better including one 50 goal campaign. He proudly represented his team in 7 different NHL All Star contests. Mike also represented Team Canada in both of the classic Canada Cup series in 1984 and 1987. He was a true credit to the sport and is a most deserving member of Hockey’s Hall of Fame.

This white Victoriaville hockey stick has the player name “M.Gartner” stamped on the side. The stick is fully taped on the butt and blade. It is uncracked and in beautiful condition.
