Description
Mikael Renberg Philadelphia Flyers/Tampa Bay Lightning White Sher-Wood Game Used Stick
Lot #450

This white Sher-Wood PMPX 9950 hockey stick was game used by Mikael Renberg either at the very end of his first stint with the Flyers or when he got to the Tampa Bay Lightning in 1997-98. The Philadelphia Flyers selected Renberg in the 2nd round of the 1990 NHL Entry Draft. After spending a handful of years playing in his native Sweden, Renberg joined the Flyers in 1993-94. He was immediately paired with phenom Eric Lindros and a 38-Goal and 82-Point rookie season ensued. After 4 seasons in Philadelphia, Renberg spent two years with the Tampa Bay Lightning where he served as their Team Captain. Mikael next returned to Philadelphia for a couple more seasons before a deadline deal sent him to Phoenix. Renberg’s final stop was Toronto where he spent 3 seasons before returning to Europe where he played another handful of years in the Swedish Elite League.

This white Sher-Wood stick has the player name and number “Renberg 19” stamped on the side. The stick is fully taped on the butt and blade. Mikael wore player number 19 for the Flyers then went to player number 20 with the Lightning. We have not been able to find a photo of Renberg using this model stick with the Flyers so he might have just brought these sticks with him to Tampa as we have found him using this exact model with the Lightning. The stick is uncracked and in beautiful condition.
