GAMEWORNAUCTIONS.NET is pleased to present The Michel Goulet Collection. This exciting collection of game worn jerseys, game used sticks, game worn equipment and memorabilia come directly from the personal collection of Hockey Hall of Famer, Michel Goulet. Mr. Goulet personally collected and preserved these items over the course of his legendary NHL career. A signed letter from Mr. Goulet will accompany your purchase.

This black Warrior hockey stick was game used by 300-Game winner Miikka Kiprusoff while playing for the Calgary Flames. The San Jose Sharks selected Kiprusoff in the 5th round of the 1995 NHL Entry Draft. After spending a handful of seasons in Europe, this Finnish native began his NHL career with San Jose in 2000-01. After a few seasons with the Sharks, Miikka joined the Calgary Flames via trade during the 2003-04 season. What a season it turned out to be for Kiprusoff and the Flames! Miikka won 24 of his 38 games, 4 by shutout and posted a 1.69 GAA during the regular season. In what was a heroic effort, he led the Flames all the way to game 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals that year only to fall to the Tampa Bay Lightning. The playoffs saw Kiprusoff post 5 of his 15 wins by shutout to go along with a 1.85 GAA.

Following the NHL lockout, Kiprusoff came back where he left off and captured the Vezina Trophy as the NHL’s best goalie as well as the Jennings Trophy for fewest goals allowed in 2005-06. He also earned a 1st Team NHL All Star selection that same season thanks in part to his 42 wins, 10 shutouts and 2.07 GAA. The 2006-07 season then saw Miikka earn his first NHL All Star game appearance. Miikka was an iron man between the pipes for the Flames. He played in 70+ games per season for each of the past 7 non-lockout seasons before unexpectedly announcing his retirement. On the international scene Kiprusoff represented Team Finland in the World Championships, the Olympics and the 2004 World Cup of Hockey.

This black Warrior stick has the player name “Kiprusoff” stamped on the side. The stick is fully taped on the butt and blade. The stick is uncracked and in beautiful condition. This fresh to the hobby example comes directly from the personal collection of Michel Goulet and will be accompanied by his signed LOA.
