Mid 1980's Mitch Lamoureau Baltimore Skipjacks Game Worn Jersey
Lot #284
This gold mesh gamer by CCM was worn by Mitch Lamoureux circa the mid 1980’s during AHL play. The Pittsburgh Penguins selected Lamoureux in the 8th round of the 1981 NHL Entry Draft. Lamoureux’s NHL career was brief, spanning a few seasons where he played for the Penguins and Flyers. Despite being only 5’ 6” tall, he did enjoy a lengthy minor pro career where he was a mainstay in the AHL and won the leagues rookie of the year award as well as 2nd team All Star honors in 1983. 30 and 40 goal seasons weren’t uncommon as Lamoureux became one of the AHL’s most reliable players, and eventually became a member of the AHL Hall of Fame.

Not surprisingly, this gamer has been custom shortened by the team to better fit Lamoureux’s small frame. The game wear on this sweater is solid and consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, un-repaired burn holes, pilling and several team-sewn repairs. A terrific vintage example from this AHL Hall of Famer!
