Description
Mid 1970s Orest Kindrachuk Philadelphia Flyers Game Issued Jersey
Lot #79

This home white knit jersey was issued for use by Orest Kindrachuk during the Stanley Cup Era of the mid 1970’s. Kindrachuk made his NHL debut in 1972-73 with the Philadelphia Flyers where he played until 1977-78. During that time this center went to three consecutive Stanley Cup Finals and walked away with a pair of Stanley Cup rings as the Flyers won back-to-back titles in 1974 and 1975. Kindrachuk scored a career best 26 goals and 75 points for the Flyers in 1975-76. This member of the Broad Street Bullies had a couple of triple digit PIMS seasons during his tenure under Head Coach Fred Shero in Philadelphia. Orest finished up his career with three seasons in Pittsburgh with the Penguins and a final year with the Washington Capitals.

This size L sweater shows no signs of game use. The elongated nameplate has been removed from the upper verso and glue stains appear beneath. The telltale stitching patterns of the Flyers seamstress appear on the player numbers on the back and both sleeves. Also accompanying this jersey will be a non-team issued nameplate provided by the consignor in case somebody wished to display this sweater with a name on back.
