This home white knit dureen gamer by Cosby was worn by Ralph Keller circa the mid 1960’s. Keller spent a couple of decades patrolling the blueline, predominantly in the AHL and prior to that the WHL. He played for the New York Rangers briefly during the 1962-63 season, a year prior to joining the Hershey Bears, a place he called home for the final 11 years of his career. Keller was an adept scorer from the point as evidenced by his numerous double-digit goal seasons and he still stands as the all-time scoring leaders for Hershey Bears defenseman. He also played with an edge and accumulated triple digit PIM totals in most of his professional seasons.
Sewn to the inside hem of this vintage relic is the Cosby tag. This old school gamer has been through the wars and suffered through the battles. There are some significant holes about this sweater to go along with board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes, washed out bloodstains, areas of heavy pilling and team-sewn repairs on the chest and both arms. The old school Hershey Bear team logo sits proudly sewn to the left breast of this gamer, while the team name and player numbers are also sewn on. The back player number has suffered some stitching loss and has loosened at the top. A vintage Hershey example that was worn by this popular 11-year Bears veteran and their all-time defensive scoring leader.
