GAMEWORNAUCTIONS.NET is pleased to present The Michel Goulet Collection. This exciting collection of game worn jerseys, game used sticks, game worn equipment and memorabilia come directly from the personal collection of Hockey Hall of Famer, Michel Goulet. Mr. Goulet personally collected and preserved these items over the course of his legendary NHL career. A signed letter from Mr. Goulet will accompany your purchase.

This bronze medal was presented to Michel Goulet for Team Canada’s third place finish at the 1983 World Championships held April 16 – May 2 in Germany. The participation medal was presented to Goulet during the European Championships. The Quebec Nordiques selected Goulet in the 1st round of the 1979 NHL Entry Draft. This Quebec native made his professional debut in 1978-79 with the WHA’s Birmingham Bulls. When NHL expansion ensued the following year, Goulet made his NHL debut in 1979-80 with the Quebec Nordiques.

Goulet was among the finest Left Wingers of his generation, and in NHL history for that matter. He netted a spectacular 548 goals and 1152 points during a 15-year NHL career. Michel’s goal totals from the period of 1981-82 thru 1987-88 is an impressive read; 42, 57, 56, 55, 53, 49 and 48 respectively. He was a five-time 1st or 2nd Team NHL All Star who also played in five NHL All Star Games. Goulet represented Team Canada during the World Championships, the 1984 and 1987 Canada Cup and also represented Team NHL during Rendezvous ’87. Following 11 seasons with the Nordiques, Goulet joined the Chicago Blackhawks and soon after led them on an epic run to the 1992 Stanley Cup Finals. Merely two seasons later, Michel suffered a vicious head injury during the latter stages of the 1993-94 season, putting a sudden end to his Hall of Fame career.

This bronze medal reads “1983”, “World Championships” on the front with the IIHF logo and “International Ice Hockey Federation” on the back. The medal is in very nice condition with only light tarnishing. The participation medal has an engraving on the front with the year “1983”. On the back it reads in German “Federal Republic of Germay, Ice Hockey World and European Championship, Dortmund, Dusseldorf, Munich”. These fresh to the hobby examples come directly from the personal collection of Michel Goulet and will be accompanied by his signed LOA.
