This stunning vintage black and white linesman’s jersey by Cosby was worn by Hockey Hall of Famer Matt Pavelich. In 1987, Pavelich became the first linesman ever inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame. Matt spent 31 years patrolling the NHL ice, working 1727 regular season games, good for 2nd all-time in black & white history to only Neil Armstrong.
Sewn to the left breast of this gorgeous sweater is the NHL shield. Sewn to the back is the all original number 7, a style worn during a bygone era. This jersey shows nice consistent use including pilling and some washed out bloodstains which should come as no surprise to fans of old time hockey. Pavelich jerseys have proved elusive and are a missing link among many Hall of Fame collectors. A certain cornerstone item for collectors of the black and white.
