This white hockey jersey was manufactured by Nike. The Quebec Nordiques selected Sundin with the 1st overall pick in the 1989 NHL Entry Draft. Mats made his NHL debut with the Nordiques in 1990-91 and played in Quebec for 4 seasons. He set a personal best during his 3rd year in the league with an eye-opening 47 goals and 114 points. Sundin was dealt to the Toronto Maple Leafs in exchange for Wendel Clark in 1994-95 and went on to become one of the Leafs all-time greats. Mats would spend the bulk of his career with the Leafs, 13 years in all before playing one final season with the Canucks.
Sundin rang up impressive career stats. To his credit are 564 goals, 785 assists and 1349 points. Sundin played in 8 NHL All Star games, the 1991 Canada Cup where he was named to the Canada Cup All Star team, two World Cups of Hockey along with a 1996 World Cup All Star selection and three Olympics where he valiantly represented Team Sweden. Sundin also has two 2nd Team NHL All Star selections to his credit along with the 2008 Mark Messier Leadership Award. Mats is considered one of the most consistent players of his generation and was deservingly honored with a place in the Hockey Hall of Fame.
