This gold hockey blocker by Reebok was game worn by Marty Turco while playing for the Dallas Stars. The Dallas Stars selected Turco in the 5th round of the 1994 NHL Entry Draft. Marty spent 4 years playing college hockey at the University of Michigan where he won 2 NCAA Championships before beginning his professional career in 1998-99 in the IHL. He made his NHL debut in 2000-01 with Dallas and played 9 seasons with the club. In 2008-09, Marty appeared in a staggering 74 games between the pipes. That same year, Marty also became the franchise’s all-time leader in games played by a goalie, passing Cesare Maniago longstanding mark. Turco is also the all-time leader in franchise Wins and Shutouts. Turco is a 2-time winner of the Roger Crozier Saving Grace Award, which goes to the NHL goalie with the best save percentage having played in a minimum of 25 games. After nearly a decade with the Stars, Marty joined the Chicago Blackhawks prior to the 2010-11 season and then completed his career with the Boston Bruins.
