This blue hockey helmet by CCM was game worn by Martin Straka while playing for the New York Rangers. The Pittsburgh Penguins made Straka their 1st round selection in the 1992 NHL Entry Draft. He spent 10 of his 15 NHL seasons as a member of the Penguins, the team with which he is most often associated. After leaving the Pens, Martin played briefly for the Kings then his last 3 seasons with the Rangers. During his 954 game career, this talented native of the Czech Republic netted 257 goals and 717 points. On the international scene, Straka partook in 2 World Cups, several World Championships and 2 Olympics that included a Gold Medal during the 1998 Winter Games.
This blue CCM helmet has the player number “82” on back. “NYR” is on both sides. The “Gardens of Dreams” sticker is on the back left opposite the NHL shield. This helmet will be accompanied by a Rangers team letter.
