This red hockey helmet by CCM was game worn by Martin Rucinsky during the 2000 All Star game in Toronto, Ontario. The Edmonton Oilers selected Rucinsky in the 1st round of the 1991 NHL Entry Draft. Born in the Czech Republic, Rucinsky began his NHL career with the Oilers where he played 2 games in 1991-92. Martin would join the Quebec Nordiques later that same season and spent the next 4 years in Quebec. He then spent part of the next season in Colorado before joining the Montreal Canadiens for parts of 7 seasons. Rucinsky later represented the Stars, Rangers, Canucks and Blues before returning to Europe where he has played for the past handful of seasons in the Czech Republic. Rucinsky netted 241 goals and 612 points over the course of his 961 game NHL career.
Martin played in the 2000 NHL All Star game where his World All Stars defeated the North American All Stars 9-4. He also represented his country in numerous international competitions including the 1992 Canada Cup, 2 World Cups of Hockey, the World Championships and 3 Olympic Games, where he helped bring home the Gold to his country.
This red CCM helmet has the player number “26” on back. The All Star logo is on both sides. The Toronto All Star logo is on the back left opposite the NHL shield.
