This white pinstripe knit New York Yankees replica jersey was manufactured by Majestic. Teixeira was drafted by the Boston Red Sox in the 1988 MLB Draft. Since he was not happy the way the Red Sox treated him, he chose to play college baseball for Georgia Tech. In 2001, Teixeira re-entered the draft and was selected 5th overall by the Texas Rangers.
Teixeira joined the Rangers for the 2003 season and played five seasons in Texas. In the summer of 2007, Teixeira was traded to the Atlanta Braves after turning down a contract extension with the Rangers. After 1+ seasons in Atlanta, Teixeira was traded to the Los Angeles Angels in the summer of 2008, playing only 54 games as an Angel. Now a free agent, Teixeira signed an 8-year contract with the New York Yankees in December of 2008. After 8 seasons with the Yankees, Teixeira called it a career after the 2016 season.
