This black Louisville graphite hockey stick was made for Mark Messier when he played for the New York Rangers. Messier will be remembered as one of the all-time great players and leaders that the sport of hockey has ever seen. Mark was (5) times a 1st or 2nd team NHL All Star. Messier ranks 7th all-time in goals scored with 694, 3rd in all-time assists with 1193 and 2nd in all-time points scored with 1887. Messier’s career playoff numbers are no less impressive. He ranks 2nd in all-time goals with 109, assists with 186 and points with 295. The only player ahead of Mark in each of the aforementioned playoff scoring categories is Wayne Gretzky. His 14 career shorthanded playoff goals have him atop that all-time list. His hardware includes (6) Stanley Cup championships, (1) Conn Smythe Trophy as playoff MVP, (2) Lester B. Pearson awards as the NHL’s outstanding player and (2) Hart Memorial Trophies as the league’s MVP. Mark was inducted, on the first ballot, to the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2007.
This black Louisville has the player name "Messier" stamped on the side of the blade. The stick is untaped.
