This 1967-68 Rochester Americans Calder Cup Championship diamond and 10k gold ring by John Roberts, Jr was gifted to Marie Crozier, the wife of Joe Crozier, for coaching the 1967-68 Rochester Americans Calder Cup Championship team. Crozier was a career minor leaguer of 12 years except for a 5-game stint with the Toronto Maple Leafs in 1959-60. Joe played with the Quebec Aces, Springfield Indians, Providence Reds, Rochester Americans and Spokane Comets. Towards the end of his playing career, Joe took on coaching and spent the next 20+ years in the coaching ranks.

Joe coached the Quebec Aces of the QHL; Spokane Comets and Vancouver Canucks of the WHL; Charlotte Checkers of the EHL; Rochester Americans, Cincinnati Swords and New Brunswick Hawks of the AHL; Kitchner Rangers of the OHL; Vancouver Blazers and Calgary Cowboys of the WHA; and the Buffalo Sabres and Toronto Maple Leafs of the NHL. Joe won three Calder Cup Championships with the Rochester Americans, the Lester Patrick Cup with the Canucks and the J. Ross Robertson Cup with the Kitchener Rangers. Crozier is a member of the Manitoba Hockey Hall of Fame was well as the AHL Hockey Hall of Fame.

This 10k gold ring features three diamonds around crossed hockey sticks over the Americans logo on the tableau. Surrounding that it reads “CALDER CUP” on top and “CHAMPIONSHIP” underneath. One shank has the city name “ROCHESTER”, the Americans logo and a hockey skate. The other shank reads “1968” and the Calder Cup which is engraved “FRANK CALDER”. Engraved inside is “JOHN ROBERTS JR 10K” and the initials “M.C.”. This beautiful ring represents the last Calder Cup Championship in Joe Crozier’s playing career and comes directly from the personal collection of Jamie Crozier.
