This Northland hockey stick was game used by Lynn Zimmerman while playing for the Houston Aeros during the 1977-78 WHA season. Zimmerman hailed from Fort Erie, Ontario and made his professional debut between the pipes in the EHL in 1966-67. He joined the Rochester Americans of the AHL in 1967-68 and spent parts of 6 years with the club. Lynn also tended goal for the Johnstown Jets, the Memphis South Stars, the pre-NHL Vancouver Canucks as well as the Philadelphia Firebirds, the Erie Blades and the CHL’s Denver Spurs. Lynn made his WHA debut with the Denver Spurs in 1975-76. He completed his goaltending career with the WHA’s Houston Aeros in 1977-78.
This Northland stick has the player name “Zimmerman” stamped on the side. The stick is fully taped on the butt and blade. It is uncracked and in beautiful condition.
