Description
Late 1990's Dallas Stars Game Issued Jersey - Attributed to Matt Martin
Lot #514
We attribute this road black air-knit gamer by CCM to Matt Martin circa the late 1990’s. The Toronto Maple Leafs selected this Hamden Connecticut native in the 4th round of the 1989 NHL Entry Draft. After going to college at the University of Maine and playing H-East, Martin joined the Leafs organization in 1993. He would go on to spend parts of 4 seasons on the Toronto blueline. After getting let go from Toronto, Matt played a season with the Chicago Wolves and then latched onto the Dallas Stars IHL affiliate, the Michigan K-Wings for a couple of years. We believe this size 56 jersey was prepared for Martin’s use in the event of an NHL call-up during that period. Penned in black sharpie on the fight strap is the notation G.I. Also worthy of mention is evidence of a nameplate change on the reverse.
