This jersey comes directly from the personal collection of Steve Ludzik. A letter from Mr. Ludzik will accompany your purchase.
This road blue knit gamer by CCM was worn by Steve Ludzik circa the late 1980’s/early 1990’s during AHL play. The Chicago Blackhawks selected Ludzik in the 2nd round of the 1980 NHL Entry Draft. Ludzik spent the first 8 years of a 9-year NHL career with Chicago. He spent his final season with the Buffalo Sabres and remained in their organization for a couple more years, playing with their AHL affiliate in Rochester before retiring.
Proudly sewn to the left breast of this gamer is the Captain’s “C”. The outline of an alternate Captain’s “A” can be seen beneath. The game wear on this sweater is solid and consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, washed out bloodstains, fine inner pilling, a fight strap that has succumbed to rust and in excess of 30 team-sewn repairs! A tremendous well-worn minor league sweater, complete with a letter of honor and hailing from Ludzik’s personal collection.
