Late 1980ís Don Koharski NHL Referee Game Worn Jersey
Lot #53

This black and white striped gamer by Bruce Hood and The Tease Knitting Co. was worn by long-time NHL referee Don Koharski circa the late 1980’s. Koharski’s career began in the WHA as a linesman in 1975. Merely two seasons later he was hired by the NHL and worked beginning in 1977 as a linesman until he became a referee in 1980. Don went on to officiate 1719 regular season games and 248 more in the playoffs. He worked a couple of NHL All Star Games, two Canada Cups, the 2004 World Cup of Hockey and 13 Stanley Cup Finals.

Sewn into the collar of this gamer is the Bruce Hood – The Tease Knitting Co. tagging. Sewn to the left breast is the NHL shield. Sewn to the upper verso is the original nameplate. Nice game use includes burns, pilling and a good amount of washed out bloodstains. A terrific well-worn vintage referee gamer.
