Description
Late 1980’s Dave “Sudsy” Settlemeyer Philadelphia Flyers Game Issued Jersey
Lot #71
This road orange air-knit jersey was issued for use by Dave “Sudsy” Settlemeyer during the late 1980’s. Sudsy enjoyed a 6-year minor pro career where he stood between the pipes with the Roanoke Valley Rebels, Philadelphia Firebirds and Maine Mariners. After his playing days were done, Dave spent a decade behind the Flyers bench as their Trainer and actually dressed for one NHL game as Philadelphia’s backup Goalie to Pete Peeters in March of 1989-90 after a pre-game injury to Ken Wregget made him unable to dress that night. Legendary in the hobby, Sudsy was beloved by all who had the pleasure to deal with him. Dave’s son Derek took over where his dad left off, becoming the Flyers Head Trainer, a role he’s served in for more than a decade.

This size 52 Goalie cut sweater was team issued and therefore shows no signs of game use.
