Late 1960's Roger Pelletier Quebec Aces Game Worn Jersey
Lot #394
This green dureen gamer by General Athletic was worn by Roger Pelletier circa the late 1960’s during AHL play. Pelletier was a member of the Aces beginning in 1965-66 and remained with the club thru 1970-71. Thanks to his Aces affiliation, he appeared in the NHL for the expansion Philadelphia Flyers in 1967-68, his only NHL season. Roger finished his career with parts of 3 years with the AHL’s Richmond Robins and a final partial year with the AHL’s Springfield Kings in 1973-74. All told this defenseman spent 9 seasons in the AHL.

The condition of this vintage dureen is outstanding, a rarity for the Aces whose jerseys often show up tattered. With still vibrant green, red, white and black colors, the game wear on this sweater is solid and consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired holes, inner pilling and upwards of 20 team-sewn repairs. The front of the collar shows fight abuse, having been torn down at the hands of an angry opponent and restitched. The General Athletic tag remains bright, white and legible and is sewn to the inner hem. All in all a stunning 45-year old AHL dureen that would do any vintage collection proud.
