Description
Late 1960's Oscar Gaudet Dallas Black Hawks Game Worn Jersey
Lot #520
This home white dureen gamer by Gunzo’s and General Athletic was worn by Oscar Gaudet circa the late 1960’s during CHL play. The Dallas Black Hawks came into existence in 1967-68 and spent a year in the CPHL before joining the CHL where they remained until their final season of 1981-82. In their 15-year existence, the Hawks made an impressive 10 Adams Cup Finals and won 4 Adams Cups! Serving as the Chicago farm team, the Chicago uniforms were oftentimes recycled to Dallas for further use. Gaudet was a winger from Manitoba who began his career with the Buffalo Bisons of the AHL, he then spent a couple of seasons with the St. Louis Braves and then 3 more in Dallas with the Black Hawks before a final season with the Portland Buckaroos of the WHL.

Proudly sewn to the left breast of this gamer is the Captain’s “C”. Sewn into the collar is the Gunzo’s tag while the General Athletic tag is sewn into the hem. The game wear on this sweater is solid and consists of stick marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired holes, washed out bloodstains, a vented and slightly torn front collar and inner pilling. The hand stitched Indian Head Crest is a thing of beauty as is the all-original nature of this vintage Captain’s jersey!
