Kevin Weekes Carolina Monarchs Game Worn Mask Photo Matched
Lot #449

This beautiful painted goalie mask by “Eddy Masks” was game worn by Kevin Weekes while playing with the AHL's Carolina Monarchs during the mid 1990’s. The Florida Panthers selected Weekes in the 2nd round of the 1993 NHL Entry Draft. After only one season with Florida, Kevin joined the Canucks in 1999-00. Midway thru the year he was dealt to the Islanders. He spent the next two years with Tampa Bay and then spent parts of 3 more in Carolina. Weekes joined the New York Rangers after the NHL lockout and played on Broadway for 2 seasons before joining the New Jersey Devils for 2 seasons where he completed his career. When Weekes wasn’t playing in the NHL, he played in both the AHL and IHL. He started his professional career in 1995-96 with the Carolina Monarchs of the AHL, a team that lasted only 2 seasons and the team for which he wore this mask.

This beautifully painted mask of the Monarchs Crowned Lion was made by “Eddy Masks” whose sticker is on the backplate. Below both ear openings it reads “B. Ivens/95”. Shown above is a beautiful photo match of Weekes wearing this exact mask while playing for the Monarchs. The mask shows nice game use with all interior padding intact.
