This Kelly Buchberger hockey stick was acquired with the complete team set from every player on the 1990 Stanley Cup Champion Edmonton Oilers. Our consignor received these sticks personally after a game during that cup-winning season.
This white Chimo GLM 9950 hockey stick was game used by Kelly Buchberger while playing for the Edmonton Oilers during the 1989-9 Stanley Cup winning season. The Edmonton Oilers selected Buchberger in the 9th round of the 1985 NHL Entry Draft. He would spend the first 13 years of his 18-year NHL career with the Oilers where he won 3 Stanley Cups and would eventually serve as Team Captain. After leaving Edmonton, he skated for the Thrashers, Kings, Coyotes and Penguins. This feisty winger compiled 2297 PIMS over the course of his 1182 game career.
This white Chimo hockey stick has the player name “Buchberger” stamped on the side. The stick is fully taped on the butt. Some of the blade tape has been removed so Kelly could autograph it. The stick is uncracked and in beautiful condition.
